  1. AMERICA’S CHANGES 1789-1812 • During the time of the first three American Presidents, the United Stated changed drastically. We changed politically, the size of the country grew, and our government grew up and down in size. • Pick which of the first three Presidents (Washington to Jefferson) that in your opinion affected the country the most. Pick three reasons why and explain how you feel each of them had a strong impact on the country. • Introduce your choice with some background(see above), talk about each one separately, with a lead-in before your choice- and give commentary explaining why you think that change was so important. • Lead-in example next slide
