Lets Talk Attendance • What does House Bill 5 say in regard to attendance? • A student in any grade level (K – 12) may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. • A student who is in attendance for at least 75 percent but less than 90 percent of the days a class is offered may be given credit or a final grade for the class if the student completes a plan approved by the school's principal that provides for the student to meet the instructional requirements of the class. • What are we doing at Westbury? • The “NG” Effect

Final Exams • Senior final exams will be administered May 19, 2014 – May 23, 2014. • An exemption report will be provided to students prior to the week of final exams. • Only students who meet the attendance and grade average requirements are exempt from final exam. • Seniors are still required to report to school during the week of May 26th for attendance purposes. • Remember a “NG” for the Spring semester means “Not Graduating”….well, at least not on Saturday, May 31st.

Graduation • Date: Saturday, May 31, 2014 • Time: 7:00 PM. • Location: Reliant Arena • Graduation Practice • Tuesday, May 27, 2014 • Wednesday, May 28, 2014 • Graduates will pick up diplomas from Westbury • Date for pickup will be provided the week prior to graduation

Graduation Fair • Sponsored by Herff Jones (Mark Branch) • Date: Saturday, February 15, 2014 • Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm • Location: Elsik High School, North Cafeteria

Senior Panoramic • Wednesday, April 30, 2014 • During Advocacy • $35 for a large and mini panoramic picture • Large panoramic - $25 • Mini panoramic - $10 • Purchase Dates • Thursday, May 1, 2014 (During A & B lunch) • Friday, May 2, 2014 (During A & B lunch)

Senior Awards Dinner • Tuesday, May 13, 2014 • 6:30 PM • Atrium. • $12.50 per person. • May 2, 2014 is the last date to purchase tickets for this event. • Program will include recognition of top 15%, Texas Scholars and scholarship announcements. • Class officers and Club and Organization officers will receive honor cords.

Prom • Saturday, May 24, 2014 • Westin Oaks • in the Galleria next to the Cheesecake Factory • 8:00pm – Midnight • $85 per ticket (if paid by February 28, 2014 ) • $100 per ticket (if paid after February 28, 2014) • May 2, 2014 is the last date any senior can purchase prom tickets.
