PHI THETA KAPPA?? • What is Phi Theta Kappa? • Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs, particularly community colleges and junior colleges. • Also the purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students.

  9. COST OF A BACHELOR’S DEGREE • In many cases, it is financially manageable • For students to attend 4-year colleges and universities • However, some students choose • 2 year colleges for financial reasons • 40% of undergraduate students attend • 2 year colleges

COMMUNITY COLLEGE COSTS FACTS More students are attending 2-year colleges first for financial reasons and other reasons such as: • Saving money by living at home • Completing basic courses at a cheaper price • Being in a smaller class size; Teacher to student ratio is smaller at a CC. • Flexible class schedules that work around your schedule • Time to decide what degree or career you really want to choose • Opportunity to start off fresh and raise G.P.A.
