  2. Nouns and Gender • In Spanish, nouns are either masculine or feminine. • Masculine nouns usually end in o • Ex. Carro • Feminine nouns usually end in a • Ex. Comida

  3. Definite Articles • Mean the and there are 4 forms in Spanish: • When using the verb gusta(n) to say someone likes something, place the article el, la, los or las in front of the noun. Ex. Me gusta la pizza. 

  4. Making Nouns Plural • If the noun ends in a vowel add s. • Ex. carrocarros • If the noun ends in a consonant (non vowel) add es • Ex. animalanimales • If the noun ends in a z, change the z to a c and add es. • lápizlapices • The articles also need to be made plural: • el becomes los Ex. el carrolos carros • la becomeslas Ex. la pizzalas pizzas
