Why does consortium wish undertake this project Improving the Traffic Safety in the Western Balkan Countries through Curriculum Innovation and Development of Undergraduate and Master Studies • In order to develop a functional system of traffic safety, it is necessary to improve: • technical innovations and equipment infrastructure, • information and technological systems based on EU standards, • constantly strengthen the personnel competencies by education and trainings, • enforce introduction of traffic safety topics into curricula at all educational levels.
Overall Broader Objective Improving the Traffic Safety in the Western Balkan Countries through Curriculum Innovation and Development of Undergraduate and Master Studies • The aim of the project TRAFSAF is to: • support modernization of HEIs in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo* in the field of transport and traffic engineering by introducing new curricula, and • to improve knowledge o traffic safety professionals, based on EU HEIs best practices and recommendations of National strategies for traffic safety in the Western Balkans. • The modernised laboratories with the latest hardware and software.
Specific Objectives Improving the Traffic Safety in the Western Balkan Countries through Curriculum Innovation and Development of Undergraduate and Master Studies • Identify key issues of traffic safety in WB partnercountries 2) Develop and implement the new and modern curricula for undergraduate and master studies in accordance with Bologna requirements and national accreditation standards 3) Develop educational trainings and training material for traffic safety professionals
