Holidays: Citizens' holiday is May 4, sandwiched between Constitution Memorial Day on May 3 and Children's Day on May 5. Clothes: They were regular clothes but they were uniforms to school Food: rice, soy products, noodles

  5. Economy Yen currency Major imports: The most important importgoods are raw materials such as oil, foodstuffs and wood. Major exports: Transport equipment, motor vehicles, semiconductors, electrical machinery and chemicals.

  6. Government Type of government: Japan's government is a democratic parliamentary government, with a constitutional monarchy as the head of state. Current leader: Prime Minister is Naoto Kan.

  7. Landmarks Main Landmark: Mt. Fuji Located in Japan Why is it important to them: Because it is there most famous landmark they have ever had.
