  2. Goals for requiring Algebra II • More students will choose to attend college. • College students will be well prepared to continue studying mathematics. • Students entering the work force will be well prepared for math tasks at work. • What about vocational students?

  3. Math Achievement • Increased graduation requirements will increase the number of math credits students complete. • Increased graduation requirements does not improve math achievement as measured by standardized tests.
