  3. 1 Alcohol = 10 days suspension

  4. 2 Keep your passport with you at all times

  6. 4 Carry list of hotel addresses and phone numbers at all times

  7. 5 Sign in sheet b/w 10:00 - 11:00 pm. Must stay in the room to which you are assigned

  8. 6 Respect your fellow travelers, tour director, bus driver and chaperones

  9. 7 Always be punctual

  10. 8 Quiet during tours, in museums, in hotels etc. No shouting in the bus.

  11. 9 Be on time - ALWAYS

  12. 10 Be mindful about criticizing food during meals

  13. 11 May not have other student travelers in your room

  14. 12 Be extremely courteous to border guards at the border crossings!

  15. Departure You are responsible for Transportation to and from Philadelphia Airport We will meet at 3:15 at the International Departure Terminal A American Airlines (AA 718)

  16. Travelers Carry Own Luggage • One suitcase 50 lbs • One carry on 17 lbs

  17. You have to contact the airline and Explorica if you have any dietary restrictions.

  18. Personal Information • Put your name and phone on the outside and inside of the luggage. • Put your name and phone on the inside of your carry on too!

  19. Carry-on Toiletries Toiletries in bottles of 3oz. or less and placed in a plastic bag

  20. Miscellaneous • Earplugs/sleep mask • Aspirin/Tylenol, Theraflu • Download dict.cc - do not need internet • Need adapter/converter – • Hair dryer – share with roommate

  22. Weather Average temperature 66-70 but at night, in the 40s. Might rain

  23. Clothing • Layers • Pants or skirts/dresses • Short sleeve shirts • Sweater/sweat shirt/rain gear • At least one pair or walking shoes • When entering the Vatican Museums, ST. Peter’s Basilica and any other churches, especially in southern Italy, you must be modest in your dress.

  24. $ Recommendation • Debit card: your Bank card or AAA prepaid card 2. Cash - Euros – 100 euros 3. 1 back up credit card is a good idea

  29. Achtung! CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY/BANK AND LET THEM KNOW YOU WILL BE TRAVELING ABROAD!! OTHERWISE, THEY WILL LOCK YOUR CARD.

  30. Just in case • In the chance your child’s money card does not work or is lost, pair up with another parent and put money in the friends account in a emergency. • Student exchange an outfit with friend to pack in case their luggage is lost. Or one outfit in carry on.

  31. Lost? Find a Café with Wi-Fi and email/text me. Wait for response. We will find you! Has never happened!!

  32. Phone • Check with your cell phone provider. Do NOT use internet. • Wi-Fi in Cafés free with some plans • Use iPod and SKYPE for free or 1€ with hotel Wi-Fi.

  33. Phones Airplane Mode!!! Turn off DATA

  34. No phone plan? Skype, iMessage, WhatsApp, Snap on iPod/iTouch using hotel/cafe Wi-Fi

  36. No new SHOES !!! Recommend 2 Pair Walk in them for at least 2 days PRIOR to you trip

  38. Typical Day 7:30-8:45 Start your day with breakfast in your hotel 9:00-12:00Morning activity such as city sightseeing 12:00-1:00 Lunch. Your group may choose to take a tour manager’s suggestion for the best bratwurst in town or browse a local market and picnic in the park 1:00-3:00 Afternoon activity 3:00-6:00 Free time to shop for souvenirs, explore local neighborhoods or relax in a town square/travel 6:30-7:30 Time for dinner 7:30-11:00 An evening activity such, as organized by your group leader or tour company.
