Next steps Reporting and Controlling Contract BSC Globalbudgeting Gender Mainstreaming aspects should be a binding element of the BSC or at least of the BSC-process! It helps to implement GeM in the organisation as a part of regular management.

Department for children, youth welfare, families and women *) Present project: gender-oriented care-taking at all child-care-facilities at the City of Graz For all employees *) as part of the project „Healthy Employees“ there are defined procedures for women and men in case of substance abuse All departments *) Gender aspects are a binding element of the BSC. In establishing the BSC, all departments receive adequate support to define their gender-goals.
Results Sports Department and Culture Department *) detailed analyses of subsidies conducted in 2006 http://www.kulturserver-graz.at/kulturamt/145 and http://www.kulturserver-graz.at/pdfs/kunst_kulturbericht_2006.pdf(only in German!) Results are: *) future cooperations with other institutions, such as universities, sports associations and organisations *) subsidy-regulations have been adopted (gender-related questions included) Sports Department *) analyses regarding public sport fields Results are: offers at sports fields are gradually being adapted For all citizens *) analyses of underground car parks Results: status quo is gradually adapted to meet the needs of all citizens, for newly planned underground car parks: gender aspect is automaticvaclly included
Further Plans Concerning the organisation *) continue/expand the implementation process, establish evaluation procedure for gender goals Concerning public relations *) get the efforts known to a broad internal and public audience Concerning citizens *) bring all efforts down to a practical noticable effect to all citizens The City of Graz started the implementations of Gender Mainstreaming in 2001, partaking in European projects helped a lot. We have come a long way and there is still a long way to go. But: the process is irreversible!
