Latissimus dorsi Insertion: Proximal end of humerus Origin: Lower spine and ilium Extends and adducts humerus
Deltoid Origin: shoulder girdle, spine of scapula, clavicle Insertion: proximal humerus Adducts the arm
Supraspinatus Origin: Supraspinous fossa of scapula Insertion: greater tubercle of humerus Abduction of humerus; stabilizes shoulder joint
Infraspinatus Origin: Infraspinous fossa of scapula Insertion: greater tubercle of humerus Lateral rotation of humerus; horizontal abduction of humerus
