Muscles of the anterior triangle of the neck • Digastric Action -Elevates hyoid bone • Mylohyoid Action -Elevates hyoid bone • Sternohyoid Action - Depresses hyoid bone and hence larynx • Sternothyroid Action - Depresses larynx • Thyrohyoid Action - Elevates larynx or depresses hyoid bone • Sternocleidomastoid Action - Flexes and laterally rotates cervical spine.
