SELECT association News Correspondence letters to epa Placement of Required First Aid Statements on Pesticide Product Labels (Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OPP-2016-0545 Label Stewardship Committee met, discussed & responded to EPA The Label Stewardship Committee, however is not aware of any widespread or recurrent difficulties consumers have had with locating first aid statements on pesticides where the first aid statement has not appeared on an outside, visible panel (toxicity Categories II, III (or IV if included)) SMARTLABEL VOCABULARY LISTS Proposed vocabulary and definition lists for the “SmartLabel” Project
SELECT association NEws Upcoming EPA workshop • Aspcro, in collaboration with npma, has hosted workshops for epa staff covering a broad range of pests and pest management and control areas • Pests include termites, bed bugs, bmsb, rodents, etc • areas include structural fumigation, pyrethroids, school ipm, etc • Next workshop is scheduled for July 9-10 or July 10-11, 2018 and will focus on commodity (import and export) fumigation at Port Wilmington, Delaware • topics include economic importance of fumigation to protect food supply, intersection of state and federal agencies in fumigation operations, interactive observation of fumigation process, applicators challenges, labels, training and fumigation management plans
