Where do we start? • Multicultural education begins in schools beyond lessons in the classroom, assemblies, and literature. Multicultural education must be written in policy and be a component of every day school practices. It also begins in students taking a stand!
Policy in Schools • In order to increase multicultural education in schools, policy must be written and enforced. Schools must implement every day practices that promote equality, freedom, justice, and equity.
Curriculum Must address • Sexism • Heterosexism • Religious Intolerance • Racism • Ageism • Linguicism • Xenophobia
How to respect one another • Treat everyone with respect • We are all people who all deserve the same rights, freedoms, equality, and justice • The acceptance of everyone will allow us to build a stronger society.
