Sshrishti Vision & Mission • Vision • To create a literate India where each child has equal opportunities and enjoys their childhood with love and laughter, learning, and preparing for a life of dignity. • Mission • Bridge the educational divide through modern learning centers, which will meet the specific needs of the children of the migrant laborers. • Bridge the digital divide that exists between the impoverished remote villages and the cities by opening computer centers in villages. • To fight social inequity and ensure each child gets his or her birthright. SLC Project Highlights • SLC • I to III, then most to govt., few to private schools • Students: 105, 19 admitted to govt. school 2012-13 end • Teachers: 5 + 1 computer + 1 part-time music/dance • English, Hindi, Math, Computers, Environment Sci. • Music, Dance, Recitation, Sports, Theater, Quiz • Free milk in the morning & mid-day meal • Subsidized books, stationery, uniforms, toys • Other • Remedial afternoon classes • Annual day, excursions, checkups, festivals, workshop • Monthly teacher-parent meetings SSHRISHTI LEARNING CENTER NEW DELHI

  6. Our Involvement • Funding • 2006-08: Berkeley • 2009 On: SV • 2010-11 • 2nd top donor • 18% of their donations • 2011-12: Rs 7.74 lakh • 2012-13: Rs 7.32 lakh • Site Visits • 9 since 2005 SSHRISHTI LEARNING CENTER NEW DELHI

  7. Academics: 2012-13 Second Half • Around 30 students have been shifted from Sshrishti Ladli to Sshrishti Learning Centre in 2013-14 academic session • 19 students have been mainstreamed into Government School from Sshrishti Learning Centre. SSHRISHTI LEARNING CENTER NEW DELHI
