Zotero: Citations and Bibliography • DON’T DO: Edit -> Copy citation/bibliography • Right click on item, click create citation/bibliography • Cannot do in-text citations this way, however • Copy & paste • Microsoft Word Add-on • should be automatic • icons
Mendeley: Pulling Bibliographic Info • Pulling Bibliographic Info • Web Importer • Have to put it in your bookmarks bar manually • Cannot save PDFs • If you download a PDF, import into Mendeley, and then move the location of the PDF, Mendeley will not know where to find it • “Watching” a Folder • When you watch a folder, Mendeley will automatically import everything • Powerful with file organizer enabled • Will you let it spy on your downloads folder for PDFs?
Mendeley: Citations • Importing bibliography • Click on “view,” choose citation style • Right-click on article, choose “copy as,” and formatted citation. • Copy & paste • Plugin for Microsoft Word Plugin: “Cite-O-Matic” • Have to install (click on tools) • look under “References”
