TAN CANG- CAI MEP CONTAINER TERMINAL- PHASE I • LOCATION: • -Located on the left side of Thi Vai river, 5 km from the confluence of Cai Mep Thi Vai and 29.7km (18 NM) away from the “ zero” bouy of Vung tau.Tan Cang- Cai Mep is in the Tan Phuoc commune, Tan Thanh District, Baria Vung tau province • THE ACCESS CHANNEL: - The distance between bouy "0" and SNP's Caimep terminal is 18 n.m. According to the Maritime Notice No. 120/2007/TBHH-CTBDATHH II dated October 02, 2007 of the Maritime Safety Ensuring Company No.II, the channel passage between bouys No. 6 and No.8 with the length of 2,800m is the shallowest with chart datum of 8.8m only. • Without any channel dredging works, with the tidal difference exceeding 3.5m, on high tide, vessels with maximum draft of 12.2m can come to and from SNP's Caimep Terminal.

Connecting road Tan cang –Cai Mep Port Interflour Port TAN CANG- CAI MEP CONTAINER TERMINAL- PHASE I Connecting road - SNP closely coordinates with Baria – Vung Tau Province to ensure the traffic of the container trucks going along the 4 km road linking Tan cang- cai Mep terminal with National highway No 51 when the terminal starts its operation. - The 80% of the land clearance for the road No.965 leading to the Cai Mep ports under the management of PMU 85 has been done. The construction is expected to begin in September, 2008. The length of the road is nearly 8.5 kms with 32m in width available for 8 lanes It will take 2 years to complete the road.

  3. TAN CANG- CAI MEP TERMINAL- PHASE I • DREDGING • The Caimep channel dredging project will be managed by the Project Management Unit Nr. 85 (PMU 85) under the Ministry of Transport. According to PMU 85.According to PMU 85, the winner of the channel dredging tender will be announced at the end of August 2008 and the project will be officially started from beginning of September 2008 and completed after 18 months. At present, there are only two tenderers, TOA and DELTA, both are Japanese. • The final channel chart datum after dredging will reach 14m. • Break Ground Ceremony of Tan Cang- Cai Mep port: Jan 11, 2006

Phase 1 TAN CANG- CAI MEP TERMINAL- PHASE I • Berths: - Length: 300 m • - Starting day of construction: Jan 9th 2007. • Completed day: Aug 31st 2008. • Expected productivity per vessel: 3 cranes x 30 moves/crane • Expected operational time of Cai Mep- Phase I: First Quarter of 2009. • Available for safety mooring of vessel having LOA of 300metre. • Water draft • - Water depth at berth: 14.5 meter • - Saigon Newport is opening tender for deepening water depth in front of Caimep berth. • - The dredging works here will be started from August 15 and completed by November 30, 2008 • The minimum warter depth at berth after dredging: 15.8m.

  5. TAN CANG- CAI MEP TERMINAL- PHASE I • Capacity • - Maximum vessel size: 80.000 DWT (6.000 TEUs) • Maximum Capacity: 600,000teus/ year • CY : 20 ha. The CY is now under the loading removal • 7ha of the CY (Area A) will be completed on November 30th 2008 • Handling Equipment: • Number of Quayside gantry cranes: 3 Post Panamax  (KOCKS). Lifting capacity under spreader of 65 tons, Outreach: 50m. Twin- lifting • The installation of the first two quayside gantry cranes will start on Oct 1st 2008 and complete in January, 2009. The third one will be available in March, 2009.

TAN CANG- CAI MEP TERMINAL- PHASE I • CY equipment: • 10RTGs (KALMAR): 6 plus 1, 1 over 5 high. • The installation will be completed in February 2009 • Software management system: • CMS: operational from Jan, 2009 • : In September, 2008, SNP will release the tender documentation for the TOS (hardware & software) . • The new TOS will go live from September, 2009 • Tugboat: • 03 tugboats – 2 tugboats of 4,000 HP each & 01 tugboart of 3,600 HP • Office buiding: • The construction started in Jun, 2008 • Gate: Construction starts in Sep, 2008, completed on 15 dec, 2008. • Receipt/ delivery procedures: completed in Sep, 2008

  9. Phase 2 TAN CANG- CAI MEP TERMINAL- PHASE II • Berths • Berth length: 600 m (2 berths) • - Starting day of Construction: end of 2008. The tender documents for the berth construction is now under the preparation. • CY: 40 ha • Estimated operational time of Cai Mep phase II: end of2010. • Handling Equipment: - 6 post panamax quayside cranes. • 26 RTGs 6+1
