NACE Committee Workspace (NCW)Training • NACE Committee Workspace (NCW) • NACE Committee Workspace is the system we use to collaborate and write standards. • Communication: NCW has a built-in system that allows communication with TG members, so you don’t have to look up their email. It also has a discussion feature that allows mass communication, similar to a message group. • Document storage: Drafts, minutes, agendas, and other supporting information can be uploaded to a committee’s workspace for easy access.
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW)Training • NACE Committee Workspace (NCW) Cont’d • Balloting: All ballots are conducted through NCW using an easy-to-use system. • Project milestones: The NCW Projects feature allows you to track the standard and see where it is in the process.
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW)Training • NACE Committee Workspace (NCW) Cont’d • Action items: Using the action items feature, chairs and vice chairs can assign tasks to members of the TG. • Calendar: You can set deadlines and other important dates using the calendar feature.
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW):Ballots • Clicking on Ballots will take you to a screen that shows any active ballots that have been posted on draft standards or reports:
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW):Ballots This screen shows you a high level overview of the ballot, including how many ballots have been cast, and the current results: To vote on a ballot, click on the title of the ballot you wish to vote on. Although you will see this Add button, only Staff can add official ballots.

NACE Committee Workspace (NCW):Ballots • Following the description is where you fill in your answer. You can change your answer for as long as the ballot is open:
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW):Ballots • To access a copy of the balloted standard, scroll down to the bottom to where is says Referenced Items:
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW):Ballots • If you want to see further information about the ballot, you can access the dropdown menus below the attachments. Voting Details contains the information regarding how other participants have voted and their comments. Click the arrows to see further information:
NACE Committee Workspace (NCW):Ballots • If you answer No, you MUST include a comment. Your comment must be include why you are voting no, and a way to resolve your concerns. If you do not include either of these, your vote may be considered invalid:

Do not user the voter interest category dropdown: • Once you have voted, you will be taken back to the ballot screen, and you will see a green bar informing you that you have voted at the top of the screen:
