Schedule (!) • Goal: BEGIN testing/assembly of US ECAL week of September 8 • Requires all components at SBU by September 5 • Strongback components for US ECAL will be produced at CSU– drawings in shop beginning Monday • Cart/assembly tooling at SBU– Jack will begin designs/production next week. • Static load tests MUST begin week of September 1. SuperP0Dule Support and Assembly

Concerns: • Many components must come together all at once: • SuperP0Dule supports • Carts and assembly tools • Radiators • Assembly bolts and nuts • Scanned P0Dules • Etc., etc., etc… • Many of the same people seem to be used in many of the same places (Jack and me in particular…) • Final P0Dule assembly (fiber & MPPC installation, testing, etc.) must occur at the same time everything is being built. • Schedule is critical, but safety and reliability is paramount. This system is mission critical, and cannot fail. We MUST take the time needed to make sure we are confident that this condition will be met. • The water target is also mission critical, and requires help. Unfortunately, it must wait until the S-P0Dules are complete, or more technical support must be found to help here. • I could really use help…. SuperP0Dule Support and Assembly
