  2. Habitat • Porcupines live in North America. • They live in a stick den.

  3. Appearance • Porcupines have little pricks on there back. • Porcupines are grey.

  4. Food • Porcupines eat mostly fruit and leaves but they can eat bark and sticks.

  5. Young • Female porcupine have between one and four young, depending on the species. • Babies have soft quills. • Most young porcupines are ready to live on their own at about two months of age.

  6. Interesting Facts • A porcupine is the prickliest rodent in the world. • They are 30 centimeters long.
