Code of Conduct • RespectPeople, Property, School, Learning Education • Respond positively to reasonable requests • Follow school procedures • Communicate Concerns & Needs • Work toward solving problems
Lockers • One per person • Assigned in August • All grades intermingled • Same locker for 5 years • Combination locks available @ office • Keep your combination SECRET!
Harassment • All students have the right to a harassment-free environment • Physical or verbal bullying will not be accepted • Report to teacher, counsellor or administrator right away • Privacy of reporters is protected
Dress code • Clothing appropriate to a working and learning environment • No beach attire • No drug/alcohol logos, profanity • No hats or music devices in class
Substance Abuse • No smoking on and or within site of the school • No association with or use of alcohol or illegal drugs at any school activity or on any school district property • 5 day suspension in most cases • Additional infractions may result transfer to another educational program
Personal Electronic Devices • Cell Phones and iPods • Use is not permitted anywhere during INSTRUCTIONAL TIME(i.e. Class time) • Yes, you can use them during breaks and lunch time
CELL PHONES What happens if a student is found to be using their cell phone during class time? 1st time • Staff member confiscates it, takes it to the office, student’s name is recorded 2nd time • Staff member confiscates it, takes it to the office, student’s name is recorded 3rd time • Staff member confiscates it, takes it to the office, student’s name is recorded • Parents must arrange a time to meet with administration to review cell phone policy and retrieve cell phone

Attendance • Be in class & on time every day • Phone the school (24-hours) if absent for illness, family emergency • Get a “study buddy” in every block to stay up-to-date if absent
Block Rotation • Semester system – 2 x 4 courses • Daily blocks – 4 x 75 minutes • Weekly rotations – 4 patterns
