Learning Outcomes The students will be able to tell about verb. They’ll able to identify differents kinds of verb.
What do you know about verb? Ans: A verb is a word that tells or asserts something about a person or a thing. (it comes from the latin word “verbum” a word. It is so called, beacuse it’s the most important word in a sentence.) Or Verb tell us what happens. They Express action. So we can tell, any action is verb
Mainly how many kinds of verb? It is mainly 2 kinds. What are they? principal verb. Auxiliaryverb.
Principal verb. when a verb is used independently is called principal verb. Exampale: swim,play,run,eat,work,walk,go,come,write etc.
Auxiliary verb. when a verb is used only to assist some other verb to form tense voice or mood,is called an auxiliary verb. Exampale: am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had, shall, should, will, would, may might, can, could, ought, must, dare...etc.
