Formed in 1949 • BPA’s largest customer • Projected 1 Million residents • Board passed ‘carbon neutral’ resolution • (Conservation, Wind PPAs, Geothermal, Tidal) • Existing owned generation resources: • 112 MW Jackson Hydro built 1984 • 7.5 MW Youngs Creek Hydro built 2011 • 650 kW Woods Creek purchased 2008

Screening Criteria for Low Impact Hydro Assessment • Upstream of or at a natural barrier to anadromous fish • Outside Federal Wilderness areas • Outside Federal Wild and Scenic River designation • Prior Environmental Impact Statements indicated no major environmental issues • No known geological hazards or unstable areas • Location in close proximity to an existing transmission system • No known issues that would preclude advancing project to evaluation stage
Out of 140 Candidate Sites: • 90% of sites eliminated (did not meet criteria, protected designations, or negative feedback) • 3-Sites undergoing FERC License efforts
SELECTED PROJECTS • Sunset Fish Passage & Energy Project • 30-MW • Preliminary Permit • Hancock Creek & Calligan Creek • Total 12-MW (6 each) • Submitted DLA’s
