  5. ACETS Enhanced for better communication between community colleges and universities. If a community college submits a course for a direct equivalent, and does not receive it, the university will provide feedback indicating why. The feedback will be sent through ACETS staff.

  6. E or Better Policy Change[Effective Fall 2010] • AGEC courses must be E or Better at all universities. • Common Courses must be E or Better at all universities with the shared major. • All remaining courses completing the transfer associate degree must be E or Better at the university or universities to which the student plans to transfer.

  7. Use of “P” Grade in AGEC • Previously “P” [pass] was not permitted, even with transfer courses. • Now permitted only if: • It was transferred in from a non-AGEC awarding institution; and • It was the only option available for the student; and • The AGEC awarding institution verifies that it is equivalent to a “C” or better.

  8. ApprovedABOR Transfer Admission Policy Change Based on data demonstrating student success Assured admission for transfer students [Arizona residents only] Completed AGEC, with cumulative 2.50 GPA or better. Completed associate’s, with a cumulative 2.00 GPA or better. Delegated admission for transfer students Arizona residents not meeting assured admission criteria. All non-Arizona residents.

  9. Common Numbering System (CNS) Project Summary • A majority of ATF faculty agreed a CNS not needed, confirming the strength of the CEG. • Institutional responses emphasized the curricular complexities, financial costs, and faculty/staff time involved developing a CNS. • Many thanks to all ATF faculty who provided invaluable feedback!

  10. New Faculty Workgroups • A Nutrition ATF was approved by APASC at their September meeting. • Environmental/Sustainability Workgroup met in May: • Discussed if/how to incorporate related issues into ATFs. • Added two questions to the ATF agenda for discussion.

  11. Emerging Issues • Virtual meetings are a viable option for ATF meetings. • The idea of cluster meetings is being considered for Fall 2010. • AAS to BAS degree pathways continue to be discussed.
