Cobble’s Corner What’s happening at Cobble’s Corner… Assignment Create a 1-Page newsletter and use appropriate images to coincide with your articles. • Your newsletter must contain TWO articles: • 175-word minimum of your choice (from list) • 75-word minimum of your choice (from list) • CHOICE: • If you had the power to design a building that would benefit Maniac’s town, what would its name and purpose be? • Select two main characters in the story to have as a friend. Who would they be? Why? • Pretend you were a character in the town. Write a diary entry that describes a day or two from your life. • What lesson did you learn from the story of Maniac Magee? Use examples from the story to support your answer.

Historical Society Assignment Select one famous African American person who is worthy of recognition in the Historical Society’s Hall of Fame for his/her contributions towards tolerance and diversity. *Click on the person whom you wish to learn about.
