  2. Forthe assessment you need only concentrate on domestic accommodation providers. • You need to explain the role of a • Hotel • Youth hostel • Service accommodation • Self catering accommodation. • You need to provide examples of each one and say if it is a private or public company.

  3. Voluntary Organisation You have to join and be a member Youth hostels provide somewhere cheap to stay and are usually used by young people and backpackers. They are cheaper because you may have to sleep in a dormitory and you have to cater for yourself and share facilities such as a bathroom. http://www.yha.org.uk/

  4. They are private organisations. Hotel Private organisations aim to make a profit. Hotels can be found all over the world. Private organisations are owned by individuals or by shareholders. They can be small or large and are rated by a star system. This is the Burj Al Arab. It was the first ever 7 star hotel

  5. Serviced Accommodation They have a concierge service who offers advice and organises trips, bookings and deliveries. Used mostly by business people when they are away for months. They are like flats and have a living area and kitchens.

  6. Self catering They have facilities such as their own kitchen and bathroom. They are rented by people for usually a week or two. The company employs people to keep them clean and change the bedding This is a quality symbol to show the accommodation has past a certain standard. There are many different types of accommodation that are self catering.
