Pg. 1 • Once upon a time in a land of wonder called the 13 colonies there lived a group of penguins called the colonists. The colonists were living a great peaceful life…Till the king of the other group of evil penguins called the British was planning something the colonists would hate. King George was coming up with something called the stamp act that taxes every piece of fish the colonists use, tax is a that makes you pay extra money. And this will cause the colonists to do something they thought they would never have to do….
Pg. 2 • The very next day the king started the quarting act. This act would make the regular penguins have to let the British soldier penguins live with them and supply them with basic needs. The colonists were very angry with this. They said it violated there rights. The way the king was giving them all these laws. It made the colonists feel like slaves, slaves are people who have to serve or follow the orders of others. As time went by the king keep making more unfair laws. This made the colonists very angry and want to fight for there liberty, liberty means freedom. At first the colonists used nonviolent ways to get there liberty but it didn’t work so well. So they resorted to pouring a special penguin black potion on the kings tax collectors and cover them with there pillow feathers to show the king. But thanks to this the king will have to do something the colonists didn’t expect.
Pg.3 • A couple of days later something happen that will change the colonists forever. A couple of trouble making colonists found a group of British soldier penguins and started calling them mean names. They keep instigating, which means your trying to get that person man. Thanks to all the instigating there was a lot of confusion and thanks to this the British fired there water guns at the colonists making them super wet. And this came to be know as the Boston massacre.
Pg.4 • Later that year the colonists were still mad at the king and the king keep adding more rules and rules. One of them was the tea act. This meant the favorite drink of the penguins were taxed. This was a big problem for the merchant penguins of the colonies. So some colonists started a petition, a petition is a paper you get people to sign to change or do something. But some colonists had other ideas. And one of those ideas was to throw away British tea and this would come to be know as the Boston tea party. Thanks to this the king shut down the Boston harbor. After this Benjamin franklypenguin sent a letter to the king expressing his feelings about this and then sent letters to the other colonies to help unite them. Since Ben knew the only united were we to win against the British.
Pg.5 • The very next day the king heard of some disturbing news. He found out that the colonists had his lots of water guns in a big igloo town called concord. Hearing this he sent the British soldier penguins on there way to concord to get these water guns. But as a stroke of luck the colonists found out the plans of the king and sent there rebel penguins to Lexington because they knew the British were going to that town then to concord. As the British were waddling into Lexington the rebels were ready for a very hard battle. And this would be the start of the war yet to come…
Pg. 6 • The next few days, There was a magical wizard penguin called Thomas P. Thomas was watching over the colonists and how the king was treating them. Thomas was so mad at how they were being treated. So Thomas came up with a plan to help the colonists get there independence. Thomas sent down special pieces of paper that were called common sense. After reading the pieces of paper the colonists were more full of spirit and angry at the British for being unfair.
Pg.7 • After Common sense was given to all the colonists by Thomas P. there was a lot of new ideas on how to fight back against the British. Soon after representatives (representatives are people who speak for you about your ideas and what you want) from each of the 13 colonies came together to discuss the future of the colonies. They wanted their, freedom so they made the document of D.O.I ( D.O.I is the declaration of independence which is a piece of paper that allows everyone to be happy and do what they want) and when all the colonies agreed to the making of this, it would be the sign of there total rebelling and independence from Britain.
