  4. Marketing Strategies • Increase Awareness • Powerlifting is one of the smaller sports. Most of their venues are in smaller areas, and the competitors have to pay to compete. • Develop the brand • Develop through public relations

  5. Tactics Strategy 1 (awareness) • Put up billboards around town to let people know about the event.

  6. Tactics Cont. • Strategy 2 (awareness) • Create a facebook site and see how many likes or hits we get.

  7. Tactics Cont. • Strategy 3 (Branding through PR) • Join forces with drug free organizations and educate public on reward of drug free lifting.
