Conditioning • 2x’s a week • Day 1 longer distances *400s/stadiums/mile • Day 2 Sprints/shuttles *100yd/30yd shuttle(10yds each)
Speed & Agility • Do before or after a conditioning workout • Ladder • Memorization drill • Square drill
Testing • For team USA, every 2-3 months • Lays a foundation individually, so we know where we are at • Try and better results each time • 20 yd shuttle • 20 yd sprint • 300 yd shuttle • Mile run • Long jump • Grip testing
On the Field Preparation • Defense • Offense *stressing fundamentals *not many ways to practice our game…our game is a game of repitition
Defense 1.PPFs-pre practice fundamentals -on knees/standing -over the shoulder/shorthops -on the run throws/4 corners 2.Ground Balls rolling/drills -w and w/o glove *drills-charging b4 a GB is hit -small baseballs 3.Ground balls throwing to bases -outfield/infield pop up commincation
Offense 1.)cage work -tee/front toss/bunting off machine 2.)baserunning 3.)hitting off live
Commitment/Priorities • Two things athlete can control 1.)effort 2.)attitude -what you put into something/what you will get out -make sacrfices **always re-invent your self/challenge yourself
