What are Children’s Centres Working with under 5’s and their families to offer: • integrated early education and childcare • support for parents – including advice on parenting, local childcare options and access to specialist services for families • child and family health services – ranging from health screening, health visitor services to breast-feeding support • helping parents into work – with links to the local Jobcentre Plus and training.

  3. Hillingdon Children’s Centres • Hillingdon has at present 12 operational children’s centres • 6 more are being built at the moment and due for completion later this year • Total of 18 children’s centres throughout the London Borough of Hillingdon

  6. Cornerstone Centre • Registered Charity • Formed in 2003 • Cornerstone offer all age activities • Works over different funding streams • Core activity at present is Children’s Centre and older persons

Cornerstone Children’s Centre • Three stay & play sessions offering healthy eating, story times, crafts and song times • Advice and guidance during all sessions with Early Years Team and Parent Support Worker Targeted groups: • Young parents • Childminders support • Dads group • Parenting • Back to work • ESOL pre entry • Numeracy & literacy
