1. Always have supervision • A supervisor must always be present in order to use any weight room equipment.
2. No Horseplay • Mature behavior is expected at all times.
On average, there are over 12,000 weight room accidents in the United States every year.
On average, 12 people die in the United States annually from weight room related accidents.
3. No Food • Food isn’t allowed in the weight room. • Water and “sports drinks” are allowed.
4. Always use spotters • It’s critical to always have spotters when bench pressing or squatting. • Depending on the weight you are working with, utilize 1-3 spotters
5. Use weight clips • Always secure free weights on bars with clips.
