  2. Follow directions • Do you stop what you are doing to listen for directions? • Do you look at the person when they are speaking? • Do you watch so you can learn something new?

  3. Raise your hand to ask a question • Listen carefully for directions and watch how the teacher models the activity • If you are still not sure of what to do, raise your hand. • If you are missing supplies, raise your hand to ask for what you are missing.

  4. Stay in your seat • When you come in to the classroom, please sit in your assigned seat • Seats can and will be changed throughout the year • Unless you are asked to help the teacher out, you should remain in your seat

  5. Keep your body to yourself • Stay in control of yourself • Keep your hands, feet, body and supplies to yourself • Be responsible for your actions

  6. Share supplies and ideas • Sometimes you will have your own art supplies • Sometimes you will have to share supplies with others • Please have good manners when sharing with others • If you have an idea, raise your hand and share it! This is called your Artist voice!

  7. Speak in a classroom voice • When the teacher is done with modeling the lesson, you are allowed to talk with other classmates • Keep your voice level low. • No shouting or screaming across the room to fellow classmates • Be respectful of others who are working hard on their project

  8. Respect our room, our supplies and each other • Are you showing respect to others in the room and to yourself? • Do you take good care of the art supplies and the art room? • Are you using good manners?

  9. Clean up • After each activity, we must clean up our mess • All material must be placed back where it came from • Brushes must be washed/rinsed out thoroughly and placed back in the cups • Throw out any papers or scrap material • Rinse out paint cups • This is your job!!! Keep the art room clean.
