  4. Robert Chambers and Jennifer Levin

  5. From Wikipedia • Chambers's girlfriend, Alex Kapp, publicly broke up with him at Dorrian's Red Hand bar on the night of Levin's death. Kapp was heard to express jealousy regarding the presence of Jennifer Levin, Chambers' secret lover, throwing a bag of condoms at him and yelling "You can take these back because you're not using them with me!" as she ended the relationship.Chambers subsequently left the bar with Levin. • Levin's strangled, half-naked corpse, covered in bruises, bite marks, and cuts, was found by a bicyclist beneath an elm tree on a grassy knoll near Fifth Avenue and 83rd Street, behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art.[4] Her bra and shirt were pushed up to her neck, and her skirt was around her waist.[5] The city Medical Examiner's office said that Levin had died of "asphyxia by strangulation," and police officials had said that there were numerous bruises on her neck, both from the strangulation and from her own fingernails as she clawed at her killer's hands. Later, Chambers watched from nearby as police officers investigated the scene. The investigators had found Levin's panties some 50 yards

  6. Police were given Chambers' name by patrons at the bar, who had seen him leaving with Levin. When authorities arrived to question him at his home, he had fresh scratches on his face and arms, which he initially said were "cat scratches". He was then taken in for questioning. • Chambers changed his story several times: "'his cat had been declawed"; he "didn't part from Levin immediately upon leaving the bar"; "she had parted from him to purchase cigarettes". (It was later discovered that Levin did not smoke.) In the final version of his confession, he claimed that some time after he and Levin had left the bar, she had asked him for "rough sex", tied the 6'5" Chambers' hands with her panties, and hurt his genitals as she stimulated him, and that she had been killed accidentally when he freed his hands and pushed her off him. • Confronted with this explanation, the examining Assistant District AttorneySaracco said: "I've been in this business for a while, and you're the first man I've seen raped in Central Park". The rape scenario was considered to be highly unlikely, in light of the fact that Chambers was more than a foot taller than the 5'4" Levin, and at 220 lb (100 kg), he was almost double her weight. • With the jury deadlocked for nine days, a plea bargain was struck in which Chambers pleaded guilty to the lesser crime of manslaughter in the first degree (a Class B felony), and to one count of burglary (a Class C felony) for his thefts in 1986. He was sentenced to serve 5 to 15 years, with the sentence for burglary being served concurrently.

  7. The video was shot a month before the trial began and while Chambers was out on bail. It shows Chambers at a party amid girls in lingerie. At one point, Chambers picks up a doll and twists the head until it pops off, shown at left. He then says in a devious voice, "Oops, I think I killed it." The show "A Current Affair," which tracked down the video after hearing rumors of its existence, broadcast the video.

  8. Joey Buttafucco and Amy Fisher

  9. Joey • Buttafuocohad an affair with Amy Fisher, who subsequently shot Joey's wife, Mary Jo Buttafuoco, in the face, on May 19, 1992. Although deafened in one ear and her face partially paralyzed, Mary Jo survived the shooting and was able to give a description of her assailant and the t-shirt Fisher showed her. The t-shirt, with the "Complete Auto Body & Fender" logo of Buttafuoco'sauto body shop in Baldwin, Nassau County, was a gift from Buttafuoco to Fisher. Buttafuoco realized the implications of the description and accused Fisher as the shooter. Buttafuoco pleaded guilty to one count of statutory rape and served four months in jail.[1] He and his wife later moved to California, where Mary Jo Buttafuoco filed divorce papers in Ventura County Superior Court on February 3, 2003.[2] • Fourteen years later, Mary Jo underwent a facial reanimation procedure with facial plastic surgeon Dr. BabakAzizzadeh, involving static facial suspension, face lift, and eye lift procedures

  10. Amy • On May 19, 1992, 17-year-old Fisher had an accomplice drive her to the Buttafuoco home in Massapequa, New York. When Mary Jo Buttafuoco answered the door, Fisher told her that Joey was having an affair with Fisher's younger sister, providing a t-shirt advertising Joey's auto body shop for her "proof." When Mary Jo turned away Fisher shot her in the head on the front porch and left the property. • Fisher was charged with first-degree attempted murder, but pleaded guilty to one count of assault in the second degree, and in December 1992 was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison. • Based on a signed hotel receipt dated days before Fisher's 17th birthday, Joey Buttafuoco was charged with statutory rape. He was convicted in October 1993 and served six months in prison

  11. Lorena and John Bobbit

  12. The Incident • During the night of June 23, 1993, John Wayne Bobbitt arrived at the couple's apartment in Manassas, Virginia, allegedly intoxicated after a night of partying. According to testimony given by Lorena Bobbitt in a 1994 court hearing, he then raped her. (In 1994 he was tried for and acquitted of spousal rape, prosecuted by the same district attorney who prosecuted Lorena for attacking her husband.) Afterwards, Lorena Bobbitt got out of bed and went to the kitchen for a drink of water. Grabbing the knife, Lorena Bobbitt entered the bedroom where John was sleeping and proceeded to cut off nearly half of his penis.[1] • After assaulting her husband, Lorena left the apartment with the severed penis, drove a short while, then rolled down the car window and threw the penis into a field. Realizing the severity of the incident, she stopped and called 911. After an exhaustive search, the penis was located, packed in ice, and taken to the hospital where John Bobbitt was being treated. • The penis was reattached by Doctors James T. Sehn and David Berman during a nine-and-a-half-hour operation • After seven hours of deliberation, the jury found Lorena not guilty due to insanity causing an irresistible impulse to sexually wound her husband. As a result, she could not be held liable for her actions

  13. Debra Lafave

  14. Debra Debra Lafave, a 24-year-old married middle school teacher in the Tampa, Florida, area was arrested in June 2004 and accused of having sex numerous times with one of her 14-year-old students.
