Physical start-up summary : • All works on “The IBR-2M physical start-up research program” have been successfully completed on June 9, 2011 in accordance with the plan. • Some malfunctions of ASCS -12R’ channels for control of a power pulse have been revealed, which are being debugged by the developers. • Experimentally measured characteristics of the IBR-2M reactor correspond to calculated design values.
Preparation for the first power and for first physical experiments at n-beams
Program of physical experiments will started at mean power of the reactor of 200÷300 kW (~ since July 8) IBR-2M spectrometers complex Spectrometers ready to start experiments : DIN-2PI, YuMO, HRFD, REMUR, REFLEX, FSD, DN-12 Spectrometers under modernization until the end of 2011: SKAT/EPSILON, NERA-PR, DN-2 New spectrometers in construction: DN-6, GRAINS (basic configurations should be finished by the end of 2011)
