Sports in 2009 • On this picture there is Lionel Messi – The best football player for 2009 • Lionel Messi has capped a sensational 12 months in Barcelona colors by being crowned FIFA World Player Of The Year. • It was a competition between Ronaldo, Kaka, Iniesta, Xavi and Messi. • Messi scored 38 goals in 51 matches in all competitions during 2008-2009 season, and has continued with 15 goals in 22 matches .

Politics in 2009 • On this pictures is our president Gorge Ivanov. • Gjorge Ivanov is the president of the Republic of Macedonia. • On 25 January 2009, the strongest party in the Macedonian parliament, conservative VMRO-DPMNE, appointed Ivanov as the party's presidential candidate for the 2009 Macedonian presidential election. • On 16 April, Ivanov on a ceremony received the presidential certificate from the State Election Commission.
