SportsRobert Enke Death • 10th November 2009, at age 32, Robert Enke, the Hannover and Germany goalkeeper who was expected to be part of his country's World Cup squad next summer, has died after being hit by a train close to a level crossing near his home. Police confirmed a suicide note was discovered but would not publicise its details. His widow Teresa revealed that her husband had been suffering from depression for six years and was treated by a psychiatrist.

The inauguration was planned primarily by two committees: the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee. Although the election was November 4, 2008, the congressional committee kicked off construction of the inaugural platform on September 24, 2008.
Famous PersonKaliopi Bukle • Kaliopi participated in the Macedonian Eurovision selection "Skopje Fest 2009". The song "Rum Dum Dum", written by Kire Kostov, was performed in a duet with Macedonian folk singer Naum Petreski. The duet managed to win the second semi-final of the competition, securing a place in the final. Kaliopi and Naum Petreski ended up overall in 2nd place with the majority of their support coming from the professional jury who, by a landslide, awarded them top marks. In middle of 2009, Kaliopi participated in the annual Croatian Radio Festival with the song "Ljubicice". The song was released in Croatia as her next single for which a music video was filmed to present and promote the song.
Famous PersonKaliopi Bukle • Later Kaliopi was also the composer of Tamara Todevska's song "Sarena Pesma" and the lyricist of Lambe Alabakovski's song "A more". Kaliopi released the Macedonian version, "Moeto Ime", as her latest single in Macedonia. At the annual summer festival "Suncane Skale 2009", Kaliopi was awarded with "Best Performance" for her interpretation of the song "Meni je ime". At the awards show she promoted her single "Od sebe ne odustajem". Kaliopi triumphed with Naum Petreski in the third evening of the festival with the song "Rum Dum Dum", which was elected as the song of the Summer by a panel of music experts.
