  3. Micro-level • Although this theory would expand to meso and macro, it currently is at the micro • It is micro, because it examines individual social, emotional and life course views • This theory would also consider the advantages and disadvantages of life

  4. Trying to Explain • What factors influence aging (excluding biological factors) • How one ages on an individual level

  5. Tested/applied • Through studies of at least 18 total participants • Questionnaires, surveys, interviews and recording reaction and feelings to pictures • Example: look at the following pictures

  6. Conclusion • All of the pictures had either meaning, or not meaning to every individual • If there was meaning-it differs from individual to individual • This theory examines individuality
