District 10th/11th California-Current • Danville is in California’s 10th Congressional District • Our representative is Jerry McNerney (D)
The 1990’s Redistricting • Congressional District lines change every ten years. This is largely due to the local people’s party affiliation. As seen in this map Danville used to be part of district 10 along with Walnut Creek and Berkley. In 2000 the district lines were redrawn due to Danville having very different political views compared to the other members of district 10.
Danville’s State Assembly • Danville is in California’s 15th State Assembly District. The town of Danville is Represented by Joan Buchanan.

The CA State Governor • Governor Jerry Brown was elected on November 2nd 2010 and sworn to office on January 3rd 2011 • He was also governor in 1974
