  5. Create Barriers

  6. Tracking Barriers Once a barrier has been created, the system will display that barrier the next day on the ‘Clients with Anticipated Barrier Resolution Dates’ report. Once the ‘Date Resolved’ has been saved in the barrier, it will no longer display on the report. If a client is being referred to Strategies for Success, you can mark ‘Yes’ in the barrier and create a Generic Referral to the SFS Provider. If the client is not being referred to Strategies for Success, you can select ‘No’ in the barrier then document the reason. Once the ‘Date Resolve’ has been saved, the barrier will no longer appear on the ‘Clients with Anticipated Barrier Resolution Dates’ report.

  7. Barrier Assessment Summary

  8. Barrier Assessment Tips The only way to manually close a Barrier Assessment is to Create a new one. Once the active assessment is closed and a new one is opened, the system will auto-populate the unresolved barriers into the new assessment. If there has been no activity in a Barrier Assessment within 60 days, the system will automatically close the Barrier Assessment and a new one must be created. Only DSHS Customer Support (JASHELP) has the ability to re-open closed Barrier Assessments. They are able to do this only if the user manually closed an assessment in error. IF the system auto-closed it because of no activity within 60 days, the user must create a new one. If the ‘Clients with Anticipated Barrier Resolution Dates’ report is being used regularly and barriers are being updated as required, the system should not auto-close any Barrier Assessments. Use the ‘Help’ button on pages where it exists. This will open a Word document that explains how the page, report, tool, etc. function.

  21. RISE Individual Employment Plan Tips Users can manually close an Active IEP by saving a date in the ‘Completion Date’ field. If there has been no activity in an IEP within 60 days, the system will automatically close it and a new one must be created. Only DSHS Customer Support (JASHELP) has the ability to re-open closed IEPs. They are able to do this only if the user manually closed an IEP in error. IF the system auto-closed it because of no activity within 60 days, the user must create a new one. If the ‘Clients with Anticipated Employment Goal Completion Dates’ and ‘Clients with Anticipated Work-Based Learning Completion Dates’ reports are being used regularly and plans are being updated as required, the system should not auto-close any IEP. Use the ‘Help’ button on pages where it exists. This will open a Word document that explains how the page, report, tool, etc. function. The goals can only be set up for 30 days at a time to insure timely tracking of client activities as well as encourage setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time limited goals. People who face struggles may tend to find it easier complete short term goals and gain self-efficacy with each goal achieved.
