The Sorcerer’s Apprentice The Sorcerer's Apprentice is an upcoming 2010 fantasy adventure film produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, directed by Jon Turteltaub, stars Nicolas Cage, and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, the team behind the National Treasure franchise. The story, although totally different, is said to have been loosely based on the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment in Disney's Fantasia, which in turn is based on the late1890s symphonic poem by Paul Dukas and 1797 Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ballad. The film was originally set to be released on July 16, 2010, but will now be released two days earlier on July 14, 2010. Plot Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and these unlikely partners will work together to stop the forces of darkness.
Americans Celebrate Independence Day Last Sunday was July 4th Americans all across the United States of America. Celebrated their freedom and Independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Sunday marked the 234th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the 13 British colonies that later formed the United States. And since then the United States of America has grown as the leading power in the world. The United States rise as a global power though did not happen over night. In the late 1930s and early 1940s the world was at war for the second time. And Europe was locked in a war with Nazi Germany, and in Asia. China and Japan were locked in a bitter war since 1937. The United States remained neutral through out the war until December 7, 1941. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor a naval base in Hawaii. The United States declared war on Japan. This caused Japan's allies Nazi Germany and Kingdom of Italy declare war on the United States. The U.S. was officially in the World War. And joined the "Allies" which consisted of the United Kingdom, Soviet Union, France, and China. In 1945 Germany surrendered on after its leader Adolf Hitler committed suicide. And Japan surrendered after the atomic bombings against the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After the war the United States emerged as world Superpower, as did the Soviet Union (Russia). Due to economic competition between the two countries. The two countries entered a cold war in the late 1940s but never went to war. And in 1991 with the dissolution of the Soviet Union in Russia. The United States emerged as the sole world superpower, in the world and has since maintained its power through out the world. All though many now drought the existence of superpowers in the post Cold War era, stating that today's complex global marketplace and the rising interdependency, between the world's nations has made the concept of a superpower an idea of the past and that the world is now multipolar.

Agent Michael Thorton, the newest member of "Alpha Protocol" a clandestine service designed for use on covert operations that can have no links to the US government. His initial mission is to assassinate the leader of Al-Samad, Shaheed, after an attack on a passenger aircraft in the Middle East. After capturing Shaheed, the terrorist leader claims that Halbech, a defense contractor, sold him the missiles and gave him all of the necessary information to carry out the attack. After relaying the information, Thorton's position is attacked by a missile strike, and Thorton is presumed dead. Being contacted by a member of AP, Thorton is told that the group has been infiltrated by members of Halbech who want Thorton dead, to cover up the fact that Halbech provided the missiles to Al-Samad. In the game you will you play in 4 levels each with their own missions to do. Saudi Arabia, Russia, Rome, and Taipei. Its a really fun game to play. All though it has some glitches and the AI (Artificial intelligence) can be terrible. Its still a fun game to play! Alpha Protocol: 9/10
