National Parent Helpline® • Staffed by trained Helpline Advocates • Every call to the National Parent Helpline® is answered by a trained Helpline Advocate who provides various supports and assistance to parents/caregivers. • National Parent Helpline® Best Practice Institute held in January 2011 • Staffed by persons with extensive background and experience with Parents Anonymous® • Multi-cultural and multi-lingual staff (English, Spanish, French and TTY)

National Parent Helpline® - A New Resource for Parents and Caregivers • Provide emotional support • Focus on partnering with parents to ensure they know “how” to find & access resources • Foster empowerment • Link to resources, when needed • Create caring communities • Ensure SF protective factors resulting in safe, stable, nurturing relationships for parents, children and communities. Employs strategies to impact across the social ecology of prevention
