  1. Status start-up planning • 10/02 – 28/03—> Access system tests for individual zones with help form CCC + Linac2 HW commissioning start. • —> 1 person 2 shifts start 07:00 end 20:00 with overlap, no weekends • 10/03 – 14/03—> 1st global access system tests with help from CCC • 2 persons 2 shifts start 07:00 end 20:00 with overlap, no weekends • 27/03 —> Decondamnation power supplies • 31/03 – 02/05—> PSB and Ps HW test period. 4 weeks for Multipoles + 1 week for the rest • —> 2 persons 2 shifts start 07:00 end 20:00 with overlap, no weekends • 05/05 – 21/05—> Start cold check-out PSB • —> Morning: 3 persons ,Afternoon: 3 persons, Nights: 2 persons • 21/05 onwards —> beam from LINAC2 in PS zone, continuation of PSB cold check out • —> full shifts (3 persons ,Afternoon: 3 persons, Nights: 3 persons). • 30/05—> Booster setup with beam. • 19/06 Beam to PS. • 10/08 Beam to Isolde.

Status start-up planning • What is new in the PSB? • New Fesa Class for the power supplies (218). • All the TG8 have been replaced by CTRV. 400 timings to commission. • We keep old Repetitor and the TSM are removed. • New OASIS crate, scope and multiplexer. Xxx signals to commission • new BSM and new Tomoscope based on OASIS. • New Fesa class to control cavities, • New Amplifyer for Transverse Feedback + new Fesa class. • New RF beam control. • New Booster dump. • BTM has been completely disassembled and reassembled. Polarity test? • BIC extraction to replace the old interlock system for B.HZ10 and BHZ301. • Instrumentation: • New Injection Pick-up, BCT • New Fesa Class inj Pick-up, Inj BCT, Ring BCT, New Interlock comparator • BLM • Orbit, tune measurement. • INCA modifications. • …..

Status start-up planning • Hardware Test (5 weeks only for specialists) • Commissioning Multipoles • New FGC3 • Polarity measurements. • Commissioning WIC (Warm magnet Interlock Controllers). • Control Dry Run with EPC only control The power supplies will be off. • Control Dry Run with others services (RF, ABP, BI,…) not yet defined.

  4. Status start-up planning • Cold Check-out • We have from 5th May to 30th May (3½weeks)to commission: • 218 Power supplies • 389 Timings • RF • Kickers • Oasis Signals 700 Signals. • MPS • BIC • SIS • Instrumentations • … • Procedures and planning aremandatory.

Status start-up planning • Booster setup with beam to confirm with specialist • From 30th May to 19th June, we have 3 weeks to send beam to the PS. • During the ascension week-end we will try to inject low intensity in the booster ( ring 3) with the new pick-ups. BI specialist should have commissioned the pick-up the week before (21/05). • From 2nd June, RF specialists will work on the NEW RF beam control. • Once the beam is accelerated, we can do the setting-up of the extraction. BTM has been completely disassembled and reassembled • Prepare the beam for the PS. ( to discuss with them). • High intensities (Isolde)
