Enigma • Local Company • Four Licenses (3 Offshore; 1 Onshore) • PETROBRASS bought a stake in 2714 block
Arcadia Petroleum • Partners: Arcadia 85 %; Neptune 15 % • AVO analysis gave new insights • Considering conducting 3D seismic
Circle Oil • Partners: NAMCOR 10%; PetroHolland 70 %; Circle Oil 20 % • Proterozoic basin
INA Industrija Nafte • Craotian National Oil Company • Farm in Opportunities • Plan to drill exploration well in 2010

Farm-in Opportunities • Walvis Basin • Water depth: 600 – 3000 m • Play: Broad Four-way dip closures anticline • Reservoir: Santonian to Maastrichian deep marine turbidites sands • Seal: Intervening deep marine shales • Source: Early Aptian and Cenomanian-Turonian • Area: 11 000 km2
Farm-in Opportunities cont… • Luderitz basin • Water depth: 200 – 3500 m • Play: Broad Four-way dip closures anticline • Reservoir: Barremian to Paleocene deep marine turbidites sands • Seal: Intervening deep marine shales • Source: Early Aptian and Cenomanian-Turonian • Area: 38 214 km2
Introspection! • Extensive Seismic coverage • Wells with positive indicators • Existence of Source rocks – Not in doubt • Reservoir – extensive within middle and upper Cretaceous • Then, what is missing?
Prospects Inventory Project • To develop a comprehensive prospect inventory (PI) in an industry standard format that will form the basis for subsequent economic modelling on a block by block basis for the entire Namibia. • To enhance collaboration with MME members (Petroleum Commissioner’s Office) by involving MME in all phases of the project. • To carry out a thorough Quality Control of all data.
Benefits of PI Project • Make Namibia preferred Investment destination • Confidence in proper Database • Credibility • Up- skilling • Namibians will be experts of Namibian margin • Position paper on the hydrocarbon potential of Namibia (Technical paper to be presented in Brazil at AAPG International)
Conclusions • Exploration activities are still strong. • Project Inventory project to make Namibia preferred exploration destination. • Available data supports the huge potential of Namibia
