  2. Access to Knowledge EKT is the national institution for the aggregation, documentation and dissemination of scientific information. Founded in 1980, the organization serves the country’s research, education and business communities and the wider public. Aim: Open Access to knowledge for all Means: Development of interoperable e-infrastructures at the national level for the aggregation, organization and dissemination of scientific content, strategic collaborations and projects

User-oriented services for research and innovation • Open Content: Repositories, e-Journals, Digital Libraries • **National Archive of PhD Theses: more than 17500 theses in OA www.phdtheses.ekt.gr • National Services for Library Organization • Union Catalogue of journals, library automation system • Mapping research activity in Greece • Periodic studies of research publication indicators for Greece, www.ekt.gr/metrics • Promoting research and innovation • NCP; a Coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas • Towards a National Research eInfrastructure • Current development tool: National Information System for Research and Technology (NISRT) (www.epset.gr )
