Monitoring infrastructure • Gaucho v4r20 stable • Memory leak in Adder fixed by Peter • Crashes in updateService fixed by Markus • Saveset structure (root directory hierarchy) now the same on EFF and MF • Top level adder publishes to MonA08 • Presenter can (will soon be able to) look at histograms from EFF and MF • No more DimBridges required Online Monitoring

Outstanding issues • Check behaviour at fast run changes • Adders give message “Trying to combine two objects with different EndOfRun flag failed.” • Configuration of Adders sometimes fails • Change farm FSM to ensure Adders startup after jobs are running • Allow “reconfigure” command to Adders from a single button • Put Adder (1 to start with) in reconstruction farm Online Monitoring

Planned improvements to the EFF runcontrol • Migration to PVSS 3.8 • Adding of farm counters is time consuming and get many messages in PVSS HLT log viewer: • PVSS00ctrl (50), 2009.02.12 11:40:54.937, CTRL, SEVERE, 114, Values were discarded, fwFsmDeviceHandler, PartitionAdder_addintcounters, function has 200 pending runs -> DISCARDING! • Fix ready, will be put in production after PVSS 3.8 migration (a week or so) • More statistics to be added to the stats panel Online Monitoring

  6. HLT commissioning • First histogram page created • Select a few rates for display in PVSS • Fix problem of adding axis labels(does not work with Moore v6r1) • Test reading of online conditions and snapshots (code ready) • Timing tests in progress (configuration time increases proportional to number of nodes in partition) • Test luminosity monitoring (histograms, rates, code ready) Online Monitoring
