What Do We Collect? • Free- and reduced-price lunch data • Used for identifying Title I schools, as designated by school districts • Reported to the Bureau of Student Assistance • Added to the Master School ID File • Title I program models • Private school participation • Highly-qualified teachers and paraprofessionals

  3. What Do We Collect? • Data are collected though the Student Demographic, Federal/State Compensatory Project Evaluation, and Staff Demographic Reporting Formats

How Do We Use the Data? • Determining Title I school eligibility (based on percent of students on free- or reduced-price lunch) • School districts use the same data to determine allocations to Title I schools • Determining the amount of funds districts must set-aside for highly-qualified teachers • Reporting data to the US Department of Education

Reporting • Consolidated State Performance Report (CSPR) – Data Elements • Teacher and paraprofessional quality • Core academic classes taught by highly-qualified teachers in high-poverty and low-poverty elementary and secondary schools • “High poverty” = upper quartile • Elementary schools with greater than 75.0% and secondary schools with greater than 57.4% FRPL • “Low poverty” = bottom quartile • Elementary schools with less than 33.4% and secondary schools with less than 20.5% FRPL
