  7. SPRING FOOTBALL Spring Football is Mandatory Spring Practice Begins Wednesday May 1st at VBHS Main Campus. Varsity/JV Practice 2:30-4:45 Freshmen Practice 5:00-7:00 Spring Practice is 5-6 Days a week. Spring Practice Concludes May 22nd Varsity Spring Game vs. Dwyer High School Thursday May 23rd at Citrus Bowl 7:00pm Incoming Freshmen need an EL2 and EL3 (athletic physical) on file before the start of practice VNA Mobile Van offers free Athletic Physicals…Schedules are available. Athletic physicals are good for 365 days. Athletic packets are good for 1 school year. Incoming Freshmen will not compete with current High School athletes in the Spring.

VERO BEACH FOOTBALL SUMMER CONDITIONING 2013 Summer Conditioning Begins on Monday, June 10th : Varsity- Monday thru Thursday 9:00am- 11:00am JV/ Fresh- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5:00pm-7:00pm Hard Work and Commitment are the key ingredients to being successful! Football and athletic camps are great tools to develop your fundamentals and athletic ability. Camps can also be a great way to get exposure by college scouts. . Prior knowledge of camps or family vacations should be communicated to Coach J. There will be NO summer workouts from June 30th – July 7th

  14. Academic Eligibility Requirements For The NCAA www.ncaa.org Click on the Eligibility Center Athlete must register with the Eligibility Center before his senior year for NCAA Division I or II.

NCAA Division I Academic Eligibility Requirements 16 Core Courses Required 4 years of English 3 years of mathematics (Algebra I or higher) 2 years of natural/physical science 1 year of additional English, mathematics, or natural/physical science 2 years of social science 4 years of additional courses (from any area above, foreign language, or non-doctrinal religion/philosophy)

  18. NCAA Division III Academic Eligibility Requirements NCAA Division III conferences and colleges set their own academic standards. Check with individual schools for more details. NCAA Division III athletes do not have to register with the Eligibility Center. In many cases NCAA Division III colleges standards are actually higher than those of the NCAA Eligibility Center.
  19. NAIA Academic Eligibility Requirements An entering freshman student must be a graduate of an accredited high school or be accepted as a regular student in good standing as defined by the enrolling institution. An entering freshman student must meet two of the three entry level requirements: A minimum score of 18 on the Enhanced ACT or 860 on the SAT. An overall high school grade point average of 2.000 or higher on a 4.000 scale. Graduate in the upper half of the student's high school graduating class.
