  7. Files on Internet • Access at anywhere • Easy to open anywhere • Won’t lose the files • Drop Box, Evernote, Mozy and Carbonite • Backup your files Cloud Computing

  8. Apps in internet • Online Email Services (Gmail, Yahoo Mail) • Facebook (Games, Posts) • Google Docs (Documents) • Store Data on Servers Web Apps

  9. Computer Case (CPU) – Metal Box • Monitors – Works with a video card • Link between power outlet and power supply unit • Keyboard – typing • Mouse – Pointing Device • Mouse Alternatives – Trackball and Touchpad Desktop Computer

  10. Use Battery • Carry it anywhere • Same software as desktop • Netbooks – Less functions for easy carry Laptop Computer

  12. Small size (about a phone) • Usually have touch screen • Mobile phones and Smart phones • Navigation Devices • Play Games, Browse Internet, Watch Videos etc. Mobile Computers

For Laptop – Press the power button (if it isn’t charged plug it) • For Desktop • Unpack the Monitor and Computer Case • Locate Monitor Cable • Connect one end to the monitor and another to the computer case • Connect the keyboard and the mouse • Plug the speakers (if you have) • Plug it to the wall outlet Setup Desktop and Laptop Computer

  14. PC – click windows explorer and search the file • Mac – click finder and search the file Find files in Mac and PC

  15. Clean the keyboard, Mouse, Monitor etc. • Backing up (not losing files) • Safe Guarding • Keep it cool Keep Computer Healthy

  16. Adjust your chair • Adjust keyboard • Keep Mouse close • Place monitor in distance • Avoid clutter • Take breaks Create a Safe Workspace
