Cell - membrane-covered structure that contains all of the materials necessary for life • Stimulus - A change that affects the activity of an organism • Homeostasis - The maintenance of a stable internal environment • Sexual reproduction - two parents produce offspring that share characteristics of both parents

  3. Asexual reproduction - a single parent produces offspring that are identical to the parent • Heredity - The passing of traits from parents to offspring • Metabolism - the total of all the chemical activities that an organism performs

Needs of Living Things Foldable • Take out a clean piece of paper • Turn your paper sideways, holes at the top • Label it as “Needs of Living Things,” and put a 2-5 in the top right corner • Fold your page in half, long way (hotdog style), but stop at the red margin. • Fold your paper in half to make 2 equal sized sections. • Open, and cut the TOP half, along the fold lines.
