Progress on CIP • Substantial progress on CIP Assessment • Agreement on guidance for ITAAC close-out • ITAAC closure notifications to NRC • Auditable documentation to be maintained on site • Use of licensee programs to maintain the validity of ITAAC conclusions • NRC endorsement of NEI 08-01 in progress

  4. Current CIP Issues • ITAAC closure and maintenance • When to notify NRC about activities affecting closed ITAAC • Possible “all-done” letter stating all ITAAC have been completed and are being maintained • Supplemental guidance under development

  8. Summary • Continue forward progress on ITAAC close-out and maintenance issues • ITAAC process provides objective focus on assuring the plant is built as approved • Enhanced, standardized programs will help assure quality construction
