  3. AFBE-UK’s Objectives AFBE-UK’s goal is to promote public awareness of engineering and the opportunities for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in engineering. Working with various organisations to make this happen!

AFBE-UK’s OBJECTIVES Developing Partnerships Schools Seminars Consultancy Research RAEng, ICE, IMechE, IChemE, Industry participation Raising awareness of Engineering careers to young people Topical world engineering problems and development of wider community Advise /information on BME community related matters How we achieve our objectives? Perceptions of Engineering in relation to BME communities

Diversity in Engineering One day Conference April Seminar’ Infrastructure in the UK Successful Events Development route Map to MEH Campaign: Long term Website Development Completion

  13. Budget and Membership Fee • Our budget this year is £11,891 • Our membership fee is £30 per annum • We need to raise approximately £3500 • 2-3 Funding Applications • Need to find Funders for MEH and Anniversary
